Garaci Collectivi strong> is a project curated by MARGINE for an industrial-style concept bar.
The request of the client was to give life, in its own garage, to an authentic place, where to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply meet friends. An industrial design space that gave the room a lived and reassuring air.
The idea was to keep the soul of the former garage characterized by the raw finishes, such as the floor and the ceiling, and to combine sophisticated and custom-made functional and furnishing elements.
The presence of a central staircase has suggested the design choice to place the bar in a central position with respect to the space and to place two full-height side walls in galvanized sheet, which separate the room from the service areas and emphasize the concrete counter. The effect of the embankment of the wall surfaces, which shows the rough plaster and sometimes the masonry below, dresses the walls of the room with an aged look, a sense of unfinished. The rough floor creates a separation from the walls and is a neutral surface that unifies the rooms of the room. But it is the details, like the wood, leather and steel furniture, custom designed according to the customer’s needs, to give a touch of contemporaneity.
The atmosphere is made warm and welcoming by the warm lights that illuminate the room and underline the linear and minimal forms of the elements.
